SCHWEYER, Kelvin Patrick
April 27, 2025
October 19, 1955 – April 21, 2025 It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved father and Papa, Kelvin Schweyer age 69 (1955) of Caledonia. Dad passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025 with his large family by his side. In 2009, Kel suffered great heartache with the loss of his wife Bonnie (Davis). Mom and Dad’s home was often the hub for friends and family before her passing. Dad worked very hard for his house to be seen as his family’s safe haven of joy and laughter once again. Throughout his life, Kel accomplished many aspects in his life to being a big fan of the Leafs, Bills, and Blue Jays, to creating his own business as an owner/operator of K&B Trucking in 2008. However, the biggest role that he was proudest of in life was the family he helped raise. Kel is survived by his children, Crystal Schweyer (Cam Brown), Kim Schweyer (Terry Merigold) and Travis Schweyer (Linda Johnston). He will be missed for his one of a kind parenting style and truly making us laugh. Kel was a proud father but was even prouder to be called Papa. He always loved to torment and brag about his 9 grandchildren – Owen, Harlee, Dayden, Alexis, Mercedes, Leah, Colton, Porscha and Lincoln. Dad/Papa will never understand the full extent of the role that he played in shaping our past, present and future. He will truly be missed but never out of our thoughts or hearts. The family honoured his life with visitation at Hyde & Mott Chapel of R.H.B. Anderson Funeral Homes Ltd., 60 Main St. S., Hagersville on Friday, April 25 from 7-9 p.m. where funeral service was held on Saturday April 26, 2025 a 1 p.m. Interment Cayuga Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation to St. Joe’s 3 Wishes Project. www.rhbanderson.com
