SPRINGVALE—About 25 children were enrolled in Springvale United Church’s Vacation Bible School, which ran from July 24-28, 2023. The theme was Olympics this year, with children going for gold on Team Jesus. Open each morning from 9 a.m. to noon, children aged 4-12 participated in crafts, singing, playing games, and having fun “all while showing their sportsmanship with the teachings of Jesus,” says the church website. There was about half a dozen teen helpers and adult leaders each, plus a kitchen/snack patrol volunteering. Shown are the children enjoying their camp days.
