March 7, 1943 – December 12, 2025 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret Gilbertson, who passed peacefully in her sleep. Beloved wife of the late Bob (2017). Marg leaves behind her two sons Dale (Tricia) of Hagersville and Shawn (Christine) of Townsend, three grand children Luke (Rachel), Tyler (Rebecca) and Josh (Lindsay), seven great grandchildren Ellanor, Jonah, Dane, Hazel, Rhett, Zoey and Olivia. Also survived by her sister Marlene (Larry) Rendall, brother-in-law George (Joan) Gilbertson, sister in-laws Pearl (Harry) Buckle, Earla (Mike) Hynes. Predeceased by William Gilbertson. Marg worked at Hamilton General hospital in payroll for over thirty years. She was the boys’ number one fan in sports. She will be missed by family and friends. With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Eileen Lynn, 82, of Dunnville, Ontario (South Cayuga), on December 10, 2025, at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital. Born October 20, 1943, in England. She came to Canada with her family when she was 5. Beloved daughter of the late John and Phyllis Haworth. She is survived by her dear husband David of 63 years. Cherished mother of Michael Lynn (Lorie), Patricia MacDonald (Rob). She has 5 very loved grandchildren, Cyrus Lynn (Kayla), Austin Lynn and Rayna Lynn, Ryan MacDonald and Nicholas MacDonald, and handsome great-grandsons Rowan and Cohen Lynn. She will be missed by her sweet fur kitty Smokey. Dearly loved sister Patricia Mack (William) and their son Dr. Peter Mack (Ryan). Sister-in-law of Joan Rose. Predeceased by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John Lynn (Hazel), Joy Schmidt (Ed), Janet Chapman (Morley), Jane Reddekopp (John), Mary Meyer (Robert), Melvin Rose. She will be loved and missed by many nieces and nephews. She will be remembered by very dear friends and neighbors in South Cayuga Village and many treasured friends and colleagues throughout her dedicated career as a personal support worker at Grandview Lodge and home care nurse.Many summers were spent sunning and swimming in the backyard of their home in South Cayuga, that was built with love. She also absolutely loved to roam around the area in her favorite fire red Fiero sports car named Fido with her beloved dog Midnight, who would frequently take off on the sidewalk on an ice cream mission to the South Cayuga Store when Pat would give her a generous scoop of ice cream, then call Eileen and say “are you missing someone” and send Midnight on her way home. Such wonderful, unforgettable sweet memories. Eileen courageously fought many illnesses over her lifetime and has now earned her peaceful slumber, free of pain. Her family would like to thank Dr. Kobah and staff, the very caring, compassionate nurses at Dunnville Hospital for their care of a wife and mother during her last moments on Earth. Soar high mom, til we meet again. Love you always and forever remembered. Cremation has taken place and as per Eileen’s request, a private burial will take place. A celebration of Life will be announced later for extended family and friends in the spring, when the flowers are starting to bloom and the air is returning to warmth. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Gordon Sutor at West Haldimand General Hospital on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 in his 85th year. Husband of Marilyn. Loving father of Louise, Patricia (Norm), Catherine (Rick), Jim (Tammy). Proud grandfather of Taylor (Wade), Mike, Zack, Jennifer (Aaron), Beverley (Ray), Stephanie (Kent), Joseph, Dale (Julia), Dillon (Leanne), Wesley (Becky), Nicholas (Courtney), Matthew (Myah), Bailey, Lucas and Brooklyn. Great-grandfather of Macy, Mylee, Scarlett, London, Bennett, Luke and Rowan. Brother of Dorothy (late Ray), Phyllis (late Ross), Marilyn (Ken), Clarence (Gail), Helen (Dan). Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Hazel and by his brother Bill. Bob was a proud farmer at his farm in Canfield and also worked at Stelco, retiring in 1999 after 37 years. He was also a member of the Canfield Fire Department and the St. John’s Lodge Cayuga. He found great joy in spending time with his family: visiting, playing games and watching the grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and play. His siblings were all so dear to him and he always looked forward to their regular get togethers: visiting, eating, and playing cards. Bob will be remembered for his strong personal work ethic, his quiet demeanor and genuine love for his family. December 26, 1931 – December 8, 2025 Ada Beatrice Nemett (née Stark), formerly of Hagersville, Ontario, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, December 8, 2025, in St. Thomas, Ontario, at the age of 93. Born on December 26, 1931, in Cayuga, Ontario, she was the daughter of Helen (née Davidson) and Walter James Stark and was raised on the family farm in Cayuga. Ada was predeceased by her husband, Leslie Nemett, and her son Robert “Moon” Nemett. She is survived by her children Diane (Nemett) Donaldson, James “Jim” Nemett, Gary “Red” Nemett (and his wife Penny), and Leslie Nemett Jr. Ada was the grandmother of Jodie Donaldson, Braun Nemett, Rory Nemett, Matthew Nemett, Jamie Joe Nemett, and Sarah Rheault (and her husband Ricky); great-grandmother of Brandon (and Desiri), Shona, Brodie Shaye, Aiden, Evan, and Isabel; and great-great-grandmother of Amilia (daughter of Brandon and Desiri). She is also survived by her sister Laura Brown, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ada worked for many years as the custodian at Parkview Elementary School, where she was well known and warmly regarded by staff, students, and families. She later became a beloved resident of her nursing home community in St. Thomas. A funeral service and burial will be held in the spring, with details to be announced at a later date.
