January 8, 1932 – June 13, 2026 Peacefully, at West Haldimand General Hospital, Hagersville, on Saturday, June 13, 2026, Bruce Campbell passed away in his 95th year. Born and raised in Haldimand County, Bruce spent his life deeply connected to the community and the people he loved. Bruce was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jean Davidson Campbell, with whom he shared a lifetime of love, family, and adventure. Together, they travelled extensively, visiting all but two states in the United States and exploring much of Canada along the way. Loving father of Jeff and Cindy, Chris and Stacey, and Luanne and Mark Robison. Proud grandfather of Greg and Katerina, Amy (Jeff), Reba and Nick (Chris), and Jessica and Matthew (Luanne). Cherished great-grandfather of Colin, Liam, and Sawyer. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Bruce was predeceased by his parents, James and Charlotte Campbell, and by his brother, John. Bruce retired from Canadian Gypsum Company (CGC) mine after 37 years of dedicated service. In his younger years, he was actively involved in local sports, playing, coaching, and refereeing hockey and umpiring baseball. He enjoyed many years on the golf course, countless card games with family and friends, and spending time with those he loved. Anyone who knew Bruce knew he always had a story to tell. Whether sharing memories from years gone by or recounting one of his many adventures, he could always capture the attention of those around him. He was equally well known for his sense of humour and was never short of a joke – clean or otherwise. His quick wit, laughter, and gift for storytelling will be fondly remembered by family and friends. Bruce’s greatest joy was his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, hard work, and cherished memories that will continue to be shared for generations to come. The family would like to express gratitude to the staff on the third floor at West Haldimand General Hospital for their care and compassion. The family will be having a private service. Passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Monday June 8, 2026 in her 80th year. Predeceased by her husband George (2023). Beloved mother of Stephen, Michael (Veronic) and Jennifer (Casey) Galvin.  Loving grandma of Isabella (Nicolas) Pizzingrilli, Victoria, Josh, Brock, Christian and Zachary, as well, she was a great grandma. December 25, 1952 – February 24, 2026 Debbie would want you to know first and foremost that she married her one true love, Peter. They argued cheerfully for decades about who pursued whom but eventually agreed that she was won over by baskets of fresh vegetables and a man who was always ready for an adventure. For more than 50 years they built a life that was full, lively, and beautifully shared. They suited each other perfectly — Peter would grow and chop the onions, and Debbie would cook them up. It was a marriage of friendship, laughter, travel, and very good food. Together they saw the world — from Alaska to the Swiss Alps and countless road trips and bus trips in between. Debbie was so curious to see and experience so much of it and thrilled to do it all with Peter by her side. She would insist she never bragged about her children — and then proceed to tell you, in great detail, how proud she was of her girls, Nicole and Kristine, her sons-in-law Nick and Paolo, and her treasured grandchildren: Galen, Harper, Hadrian, Celeste, and Benji. Nothing delighted her more than watching her family grow and gathering them around a table she had happily filled. Born on December 25, 1952, Debbie was the 999th baby born at Beckliffe Hospital, Hagersville. She was born and raised in Hagersville and, in truth, never really left — even when she spent her final months in Guelph, her heart remained firmly planted in the community that raised her and that she loved so fiercely. Debbie believed in showing up. From the PTA when her girls were young to the Food Bank in more recent years, there was no board she wouldn’t join, no fundraiser she wouldn’t support, no event she wouldn’t attend. She was happiest when she was involved. As recently as this past December, she was serving hot chocolate at the Hagersville Santa Claus Parade, because that’s who she was. If something needed doing, Debbie was there. She carried a quiet but steady faith as a member of Springvale United Church, along with a slightly off-colour sense of humour that the community there can surely attest to. Her many friendships spanned decades, and she was deeply thankful for each one. Debbie was predeceased by her parents Benjamin and Eleanor Auger, her sister Sharon and her in-laws William and Frances Kozicki. She leaves behind her beloved husband Peter; her daughters Nicole and Kristine; sons-in-law Nick and Paolo; her cherished grandchildren; her brother Gary (Donna) and sister Judy (Pat); and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who were lucky enough to be nourished by her — in every sense of the word. Our family extends our deep and most sincere gratitude to the staff and volunteers at Hospice Wellington and Guelph General Hospital for their extraordinary care and compassion — not only for Debbie, but for all of us as we navigated, having to say goodbye to our most beloved wife,

February 13, 1934 – June 9, 2026 We are saddened to share the passing of Colleen Leslie Beemer (nee Matthews).  Beloved wife of Jack (d. 2018), to whom she was married for 60 years. Twin sister of Anne. Loving mother of son Gary (Cheryl), and daughter Elaine, and son Doug (Tina). Cherished Nana to Sarrah (Steve), Jeff (Emma), Crystal, Parker (Kait), and Jenna. Colleen was born and raised in the North End of Hamilton, something she never lost pride in. The multi-ethnic nature of the neighbourhood, resulted in her appreciating the sights, sounds and food of her neighbours and friends. To this date you could not find a person who ever heard her utter a racist, or hateful word. She was also a feminist well-before her time. She was often heard telling husband Jack that she was not “his property”. She, and her twin sister Anne have at times openly spoken of the impacts of mental illness on families as they experienced this first hand. As young children they witnessed the negative consequences of the mental illness that impacted their mother, and influence them to this day. While Colleen could be a tough taskmaster, and at times be intimidating, she always had a soft spot for the vulnerable and those who were suffering. In her late teens, Colleen became a “supie” in Hamilton Parks. This was a natural fit as she played baseball and basketball. After high school, Colleen worked at Bell Canada, where she met Jack. She worked until she left to raise her children. Those years consisted of housekeeping, and entertaining a regular circle of friends in the afternoons, sharing a shot of Famous Grouse, and trading stories. As the kids got older, she returned to the workforce working many years part-time at the Hamilton Credit Bureau until retirement. Colleen loved to follow politics and in the late 70’s, she was enthralled by the women’s rights movement. As noted, she was never shy to share her opinions with Jack!  She always loved to read (especially historical romance), to complete crossword puzzles, quilt, and knit. She was a founding member of Chedoke Presbyterian Church and upon moving to Caledonia was an active member in the Caledonia Presbyterian Church community and sang in the church choir for many years. She loved the friendship and care she received from all of her church friends. Colleen spent many years volunteering at the Edinburgh Square Heritage and Cultural Centre. She found enjoyment in setting up and teaching about various archival exhibits for the visitors. Together, Colleen and Jack enjoyed volunteering at the Caledonia Fair, where sometimes she would act as judge, an apt position for someone with her strong opinions! In the years she and Jack enjoyed their time in Florida, Colleen enjoyed the social time, making many friends from all over North America, and learning how to paint ceramics. They also enjoyed several cruises together. After Jack’s passing, she remained in her home for a number of years, and after a serious

October 14, 1940 – June 10, 2026 Passed away peacefully with family present on Wednesday June 10, 2026 in Cambridge, ON at the age of 85 years.  Beloved husband of Sharon Awde, and the late Brenda (Ellis) Awde (1978). Loving father of Greg (Jeannie), Kevin (Elizabeth), Kimberly, Jamie (Jen), and Candice (Jamie). It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Paul on Sunday, May 24, 2026, in his 59th year. Paul is survived by his parents, Robert (Ann) and Carolyn (Rickart). Loving father of TJ, Derek, Brenna (their mother, Tammy), and Kristin (her mother, Jackie). Dear grandpa to three grandchildren. Paul is also survived by his siblings, John (Kelly), Brenda (Gary), Melinda (Larry), and Shawn (Debra), as well as many nieces, nephews, and his dear friend, Sherry. A loving father, uncle, grandpa, brother, and son, Paul brought a big smile everywhere he went. Uncle Paul always had jokes and stories to share and could make almost anyone laugh. Anyone who knew him has their own memorable experiences of him; he was a ray of sunshine with a Cowboys hat on his head. He loved sports and was an amazing athlete with many friends, from his old ball team and golf buddies to anyone he crossed paths with. He had a unique ability to relate to people and bring a good time wherever he went. Paul was talented at everything he tried. From cooking to building, he wasn’t just a jack of all trades—he was an “ace.” With his masterful carpentry skills, he could bring anyone’s idea to life. He was a hard worker who thrived in everything he pursued, approaching every task with an unmatched work ethic and a positive attitude. The only thing better than his work ethic was his sense of humour. He was tall—and loved to brag about it—and considered himself an expert at air guitar. Paul was loved by all and will be deeply missed. He touched so many lives and brought joy to countless situations. He was truly one of a kind. So many people are better because of having known him. We will all miss his jokes, no matter how many times we heard them. But hey, did you hear about these three kids on their first day of school…? A Celebration of Paul’s Life will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the Port Dover Community Centre, 801 St. George Street, Port Dover, from 2 to 6 p.m. A memorial plaque has been placed at the Kawartha Lakes Land Trust as a place for everyone to visit and remember Paul. W. Charles Zdunich passed away peacefully at home June 4, 2026 at the age of 68. Beloved husband to Cathy (née Cucksey). Loving father to Becky and Jeff, Christopher and Darcie. Proud Puppa to his four jewels, Abbie, Rosalyn, Kace and Boden. Charles poured his heart and soul into his business Chuck’s Welding for 45 years. His creativity and passion for his work kept him involved until his last day. Predeceased by his parents Anthony and Pauline Zdunich. March 8, 1945 – June 5, 2026 It is with great sadness and sorrow, that we announce the peaceful and sudden passing of Linda Barker on Friday, June 5, 2026 at the age of 81. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends on the day of and the day leading to her passing. Linda was a devoted wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma and has now joined her son Jeff. She will be missed dearly and remembered forever by her husband of 63 years, Charlie, children Connie (Pete Stubbs), Danny, Jeff (deceased 2020) (Stacey), and Brad (Marsha), grandchildren Elizabeth (Scott), Michael, Ryan, Brendan, Danielle (Vinny), Kelsey (Bill), Kyle (Rylee), Ciara (Dylan), Clinton (Ellie) and Jaclyn (Mark), as well as 8 beautiful great-grandchildren. Linda was predeceased by her parents Chuck and Joyce Lyne and her brother Brian. She is survived by brothers Jack (Brenda) and Bill (Paullette), sister-in-law Pat and sister Vicki McKnight (Harvey). She was predeceased by brother-in-laws Robert and George, and is survived by brother-in-laws Clair, Ray, and sister-in-laws Joyce Burgess and Lois Adnum along with many nieces and nephews. Although Linda was raised and lived in a town environment, her passion for farming quickly grew when she and Charlie started Bar-Lin Acres Charolais in 1979 until their retirement in 2011. She was actively involved in many organizations with the highlight of her agricultural career when she was elected as the first female president of the Ontario Cattlemens Association in 1997. She was also recognized for her commitment to the Haldimand Cattlemens Association, the Ontario Charolais Association, the Canadian Charolettes Association, the Beef Information Centre, and as an announcer for the Norfolk County Fair cattle shows for many years. Linda was never shy of a conversation with anyone and quickly got to know all she met including details of their lives and often found common associations and interests. Linda will be remembered as having a good heart and as a source of fun and joy.
