April 3, 1944 – Aug. 18, 2023 We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Joan Elizabeth Fisher in her 80th year in Whitehaven, Cumbria, England. Her spark for life will be remembered in 2 continents. 30 years spent living in Canada lovingly raising a family, close friends, teaching, coaching and embracimg life in the communities she was apart of. England was her home country that she came back to work in as a civil servant until she retired. She will be missed by her family , friends and co-workers. As per Joan’s request there will be no funeral service. Cremation & private spread of the ashes in the Lake District at a future date.  At the end of the day life is too short!  Let all the tears wash away the bad and remember the good!

Peacefully at Delhi Longterm Care on Tuesday August 22, 2023 in her 80th year.  Beloved wife of 58 years to Allan Winger.  Loving mother of Kelly (deceased), Scott (Ann-Marie), and Steven (Nancy).  Dear grandmother of Megan, Jenna, and Nicole.  Carol will be remembered by her family at large.  A service to celebrate her life will be held at Hyde & Mott Chapel, 60 Main St. S., Hagersville on Saturday August 26, 2023 at 11 am. A beautiful Angel in Heaven,January 29, 1942 – August 19, 2023.Loving daughter of Marjorie and Cecil Wainman, deceased. Mom’s love for her sister “Bubby” Beverly and Donnie McGuire, was a love like no other. Mom valued and lived by her wedding vows for 63 years to her husband Donald Sansome, deceased July 14, 2023. Mom loved my brother “Brov” Brian Sansome, deceased 1980. Brov and I shared Mom’s love for 17 years. Mom managed to grieve the loss of Brov and still gave everyone all the love in her heart throughout her life. Nan’s reason to smile, her greatest joy, Strachen (Samantha) Edwards and Austin Edwards. Caring Daughter-in-law of Jeanette and Ernest Sansome, deceased. Friend and Sister-in-law to Helene Chapman (Arnold, deceased), (David and Sheila Sansome, deceased), (Marion Ruth Sansome, deceased). Friend and Aunt to her niece and nephews and Great nieces and nephews. Best friend to her dog Mason. Genuine friend to many. 1954-2023Karen’s spirit was released on August 15, 2023 surrounded by her close family.  She is survived by her loving husband Leo, her daughters Cherie Dennis (Jeff) and Jeanette Toy, her sisters Cathy Brown (Randy) and Jacqueline Karl (Milan), her grandchildren Colin Donato, Ashley Dennis (Hunter), Jessica Dennis-Chadwick (Chayse), Rachel Dennis (Liam), Nicole Dennis (Mathias) and great-grandson Drayden Chadwick, also by her brothers-in-law Gary Van Eyk (Anne), Keith Van Eyk (Joanne) and Richard Van Eyk. Peacefully and comfortably surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Cedarwood Village, Simcoe in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Wilfred O’Shell (1996). Proud and loving mother of Joanne and Gerry Aussant, Paul, Terry and Chris, Kathy Craddock, Maureen and Mario Mussi, Wayne, Charlene and Jason O’Nahr. Cherished grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Eldest sister of Rena, †Joe ‘Bud’, Dennis, Maureen ‘Bobbie’, †Colleen, Larry, Frank, Lorraine, †Billy. Pat was a devout Catholic. She was an active member of the Catholic Women’s League, having served as President, earning her 50 year service pin.  She was the organist of the choir for 40 years between the Saint Mary’s and Saint Ann’s parishes.  She was also a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.  Outside of the church, Pat volunteered for the Heart & Stroke Society, the Cancer Society and The Girl Guides of Canada. She was, quite simply, a humble leader. . Friends were invited to call at COOPER FUNERAL HOME, 19 Talbot St. W., Jarvis on Friday August 18th from 9:30 a.m. -10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial for Pat was held at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, 1378 Sandusk Rd, Jarvis at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations in memory of Pat to St. Mary St. Ann’s Parish or Catholic Women’s League would be appreciated by the family. May 18, 1930 – August 04, 2023Helen Sarah Slack (Rowntree) peacefully passed at her residence on August 04, 2023 at the age of 93. Helen was predeceased by her husband Austin Hallam Slack, her daughter Helen “Marlene” Waddle, her father Wilbert Rowntree, her mother Erie, her brothers Alvin (Genevieve) and Beverly (Ethel) Rowntree, her sister Jean Awde (Bill), her brother in law Hans Trainer, her, in-laws William Stallwood and Emma “Francis” Slack, brother in-laws Jabez (Lola) passed in 2022 at the age of 100, Edwin (Jeanne), Delmere ( survived by Margaret “Mae” ), her sister in-law Eileen (Doug Martin). Helen is survived by her daughter Emily “Janet” Beam (Alan), her grandchildren Toby Alan Beam (Lisa), Todd Michael Beam and Kevin Richard Waddle, her great grandchildren Megan Marlie, Trevor Alan and Christian Joseph, her sister Marie Trainer, her sister in law Grace Lockert and her extended family and friends. Helen resided at Ridgeview LTCC in Stoney Creek where she cherished the staff & residents and participating in activities, especially Church. It was a miracle that when all else had vanished, as soon as the music played, Helen would lead all in singing the tunes. She was certified as Ridgeview’s Singing Queen. Helen “Sadie” passed from this life into eternal life and is reunited with her beloved husband Austin and daughter Marlene “Marlie”. As was her wish, her ashes will be laid to rest beside her beloved Austin in Gill Cemetery.   A private family service will be held.  Arrangements by Hyde & Mott Chapel, Hagersville.  www.rhbanderson.com

1937-2023 On Saturday, August 12 at approximately 9:30 a.m., surrounded by his family, George Gyokery, left this earth which he loved so much, to fly to heaven to join his family of angels. Left to mourn are his wife of 55 years, Heather, his siblings Mike (Jenny) and Helen, his son Christopher (Odelia), daughter Angi (Eric) and seven grandchildren Brittany (Chris), Dale (Christina), Brandon, Sidney, Lillian, Tyler, Andrew, and one great-granddaughter, Nora. Predeceased by parents Michael and Mary Gyokery, sisters Bertha and Mary, brothers Frank, Tom and Bert and brother in law Livio. George, ‘Sweetheart’, you will definitely be missed and with all of our love, you will never be forgotten. A special thank you to all of the staff at Kingston General Hospital, Emergency Room, Ward and ICU for going above and beyond in this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, George has requested that a donation be made to St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Caledonia, or a charity of your choice. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Maggie, on Monday, August 14, 2023 at the age of 23. Much loved daughter of Susan and Mark, loving sister of Karin (Saminas) and Andrew (Katrina), partner to Laurent and cat-mom to Reggie. She will be missed by her extended family, friends and neighbours. Maggie cared deeply about the people and animals around her, and her love of art, fashion, writing and her endless DIY projects. She will be remembered by everyone who knew her. She was our free-spirit, and our breath of fresh air. She was such a light in this world and we will miss her beautiful, amazing presence. A visitation will take place in the MILLER FUNERAL CHAPEL, Caledonia, Ontario on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 2- 4 pm and 7-9 pm. Followed by the service in the chapel on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 11:00 am, with internment at the Cayuga Cemetery. A reception will be held at Shelly’s Family Diner in Kohler. in lieu of flowers you may donate to causes important to Maggie, including the Terry Fox Foundation or the Dreamcatcher Charitable Foundation.

It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Violet Marie Reynolds (nee Troke) announces her passing on Thursday August 3, 2023 at the age of 88 from West Haldimand General Hospital.  Back in the loving arms of her beloved husband Roy, her son Richard and great granddaughter Marissa. Also predeceased by her sisters, Ethel Hoover and Helen Nichols and her daughter in-law Sylvia. Violet will be greatly missed by her children, Carol of Jarvis, George (Ted), (Norma) of Pincher Creek Alberta and Dawn (Mike) of London. Violet will be forever cherished by 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
